Packin Pistols!

Here in the trees hidden in the dark
I lie in wait for the dreaded foe,
I keep my eye on the garden gate
If I don’t, he may slip by real slow.

With my trusted pistols in my hand
I’m determined, a hit I will get
And although he won’t get killed
I’m darn sure he’ll be good n wet!

The plague of the feeders is whom I want,
That pesky squirrel is the one I seek
I’m fed up of his sneaky ways,
Just once, I want to hear him squeak!

If I don’t do something, he will drive me nuts!
But I can’t just let him have his way.
It’s a war I can’t win, of that there's no doubt,
But this battle belongs to me! So varmint pray!

Excellent! And it reminds me of the squirrel wars Dan and Biscuit had last summer. I cannot wait for them to begin again.

I've been to two blogs this morning and read two poems. I feel one a brewin.

Eric - priceless; first good laugh I've had all day. I know one person who hung her bird feeders on greased poles - that fooled em!

Hi Julie, thank you it's always nice to please with my work.. nice of you to call in. :)

I had friends who had a feeder in the centre of a washing line ~ Darned if the pests didn't do a high wire act with that one. LOL

When I first saw your photo I was wondering how it would tie in to your post today. Very creative and very enjoyable not to mention quite humourous!

London, Ontario ... I have always loved that city!

Take care! :-)
