I sit here at the window,
Looking out into the World.
And as I glanced about the town,
The thought then crossed my mind
Where would we be today
If no one stopped, to say hello,
As they scampered on their way.
So then I thought I’d make this wish,
Wish for friends, both near and far.
To take the time and say hello,
Show what good friends you are.
For in the present company,
We have many friends you see,
For you granted us, our Christmas wish.

Eric, You stopped in at my "Freeverseandworse" blog to say "hi." Thank you. I love your "hello" poem. Right now, for us, it's a time of good-bye. My 99 year old mother was moved to a lovely hospice on Thursday and is slowly and peacefully passing away. We went to see her last night and said our good byes. Our mood is one of quiet thankfulness today, for this sweet lady--a stepmother actually--who made such a difference in all our lives. You can read a bit about Mom in my other blog, lifeinmerlin. The last few months were stressful, oh my!

Hello Forsythia, it's always a sorrowful time when it's time to say goodbye. It's never a good time when these things happen. As long as she is at peace, that is what you can wish for.
